The growing process of development of construction in Iran started at the time of the Qajar dynasty and it was an imitation of the Western architectural style. Construction in Iran was first in the form of load-bearing walls with beamed roofs covered with tree leaves and, in some cases, arched roofs, and since the Qajar period, sloped roofs, and since the reign of Pahlavi I, concrete and steel roofs, iron beams, and vaulted ceilings in government buildings by foreign contractors were trending. An example of that is the Tehran railway station, and from the 40s onwards, buildings with metal or concrete skeletons and load-bearing walls with vaulted roofs or beams and blocks (with different names and types of beams and blocks).
The construction of buildings in Iran is currently in two traditional and industrial methods, but the industrialization method has not yet gained the desired place in Iran, and in most parts of Iran, the conventional method is used. The process of building industrialization in Iran was not very tangible and meaningful until 40 years ago; because this industry was dependent on the Western construction industry, but now Iranian specialists can take steps like foreign builders. The construction industry in Iran has had a high position, from 40 years ago onwards, for several decades, Iran excelled in the art of architecture and the construction industry. Stylization of buildings in order to prevent damage from unexpected natural happenings caused a special leap in the construction industry in the world, including Iran, and at the same time, the use of new and clean energy in architecture caused a tremendous change in the construction industry in the world.

The 10th edition of the exhibition was held at the permanent location of the Tehran International Exhibition with the presence of 400 foreign companies from 35 countries and 1000 domestic companies.
The 20th construction industry exhibition was organized by the Iran Cooperative Chamber at the permanent site of Tehran International Exhibitions and was attended by Mohammad Eslami, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Dr. Bahman Abdulahi, the President of the Iran Cooperative Chamber, Dr. Bahman Hosseinzadeh, the CEO of the International Exhibitions Company. J. A. Iran. In this period of the exhibition, well-known brands of the construction industry, elevators, and escalators, along with various companies, industries, and businesses related to the construction industry, had an active and extensive presence and covered the entire exhibition space from the open space to all the halls.
Tehran’s permanent exhibition center is located in the north of Tehran, on the Chamran highway, which is accessible from all highways. The total area of the exhibition is about 850,000 square meters, of which 120,000 square meters are specified for indoor space and 35,000 square meters are specified for exhibition space. The exhibition center has about 22 hectares of green space that have created a pleasant environment for participants and visitors and about 21 hectares of access roads to the halls and grounds.
